Our goal is to ensure that everyone can fully participate in our events.
1. Introduction
We are
committed to making Event Tech Live and Event Sustainability Live as
accessible and inclusive as possible. While we strive to accommodate the
needs of all participants, we encourage attendees to reach out to us
with specific accessibility requests to help us support their
experience.
2. Pre-Event Communication
Digital Information:
We aim for all event information, including schedules, maps, and
exhibitor details, to be available in digital formats that are designed
to be accessible and compatible with screen readers.
Specific Requests: We welcome requests for specific accommodations. Participants are encouraged to email us using enquiries@ampevents.co.uk as early as possible to discuss their needs.
3. Physical Accessibility
Venue Layout:
Excel London is an accessible venue with ramps, lifts/elevators, and
wide doorways to accommodate mobility devices. We have worked to ensure
that all event spaces are easily navigable.
Seating:
We will have priority seating areas in all theatres for those who
require it, including spaces for wheelchairs and other mobility aids.
Restrooms:
Accessible restrooms are available throughout the venue, and signage
will direct attendees to the nearest facilities. Members of the venue or
show team will also be happy to help you with directions.
4. Sensory Accommodations
Quiet Spaces:
A quiet room will be available for attendees who need a break from the
sensory stimulation of the event. This room will be located near the
main event areas.
Signage and Wayfinding: We aim to provide clear, large-print, and high-contrast signage to assist with wayfinding throughout the show.
5. Communication Access
Closed Captions: All theatres will feature closed captioning for live sessions to support participants who are deaf or hard of hearing.
PA System and Wireless Headsets: Each theatre will have a PA system in place, and wireless headsets will be available to all attendees including those who need assistive listening. These will be placed on seating ready for use.
Interpretation Services:
Through our partnership with Interprefy, participants can access
interpretation services (audio and closed captions) in multiple
languages using their own mobile devices and earphones. The Interprefy
app is required to access this service, which is available via the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
Q&A Accessibility: To
make participation in sessions easier for everyone, we provide Q&A
software that allows attendees to submit questions via their mobile
devices. This ensures that all voices can be heard, regardless of
physical proximity to the stage. Additionally, wireless microphones will
be available in all theatres for those who prefer to ask questions
verbally during Q&A sessions.
